What it measures

Sexual exploitation offences, of children included, recorded by the police, per 100,000 inhabitants. Version published by Eurostat on 29 April 2026.

Methodology

Sexual exploitation offences, of children included, recorded by the police, per 100,000 inhabitants, following the International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes (ICCS code 0302). They count reported and recorded offences, not all those committed. Offence definitions and recording practices differ by country: the comparison should be read with caution. For Italy the figure comes from the Ministry of the Interior through ISTAT. Eurostat computes no EU-27 value.
